Sound familiar?

The cost of deciding without a clear picture.

  • Revenue is growing but cash always feels tight.
  • You are hiring, expanding or investing on instinct.
  • Your margins are unclear or inconsistent.
  • You are preparing to raise capital, take on debt or bring in a partner.
  • You react to your finances instead of planning them.

Your books tell you what happened. Advisory tells you what to do about it.

What we actually do

Nine ways we turn financial information into a decision.

  • 01

    Financial analysis and insights

Interpret performance, trends, risks and opportunities that the statements alone do not show.

  • 02

    Budgeting and forecasting

Build forward looking expectations you can plan against and measure performance by.

  • 03

    Cash flow planning

Evaluate what cash is needed, when, and whether it will be there, so gaps are seen early.

  • 04

    Scenario and decision analysis

Model the financial impact of hiring, expansion, pricing, investment or financing before you commit.

  • 05

    Profitability and performance analysis

Find what is actually driving profit, and where the room for improvement is.

  • 06

    KPI and management reporting

Identify the handful of measures leadership needs, then put them in front of you on a schedule.

  • 07

    Financial planning

Translate the goals and priorities of the business into a financial plan with numbers in it.

  • 08

    Leadership advisory

Ongoing financial guidance and decision support for owners and leadership teams.

  • 09

    Fractional CFO

Executive level financial leadership for an organization that needs it without hiring a full time CFO.

Built around the way you need to work.

A single decision

One question, analyzed properly, with a recommendation you can act on.

An ongoing rhythm

A monthly or quarterly cycle of reporting, review and planning with your leadership team.

Fractional CFO

The highest level: strategic planning, executive and board reporting, oversight of the finance function, forecasting and performance management.

The highest level

Fractional CFO

When the financial questions in front of the business are bigger than a monthly report can answer, a Fractional CFO engagement puts an experienced finance executive alongside ownership.

The seat typically covers strategic financial planning, executive and board reporting, oversight of the finance function, the major financial decisions, forecasting and performance management, working directly with you or your leadership team.

Fractional CFO in detail

A financial review session with KWM Consulting.

Plenty of businesses have bookkeeping handled internally or by another firm and still have nobody reading the numbers back to them. Financial Advisory is built to stand alone in exactly that situation. If your records need work before the analysis can mean anything, we will tell you that first rather than build a forecast on top of a problem.

How engagement works

A clear scope before work begins.

  1. First conversation

    A free thirty minute review

  2. Written scope

The work, the price and the next step

  3. Onboarding

    Secure access and setup

  4. Delivery

The agreed work, with clear communication

  5. Review

What changed and what comes next

An adviser walking a business owner through the numbers

Clarity. Confidence. Control.

Bring us the decision, not the spreadsheet.

We model the financial impact before you commit to it.

Answered before you ask.

Do I need clean books before starting?

Advice needs reliable information. If the records are behind or inaccurate, we can scope Catch Up and Cleanup first. Advisory also stands alone when you already handle the books internally.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and a Fractional CFO?

Financial Management maintains the recurring record, close and statements. A Fractional CFO provides strategic financial leadership, planning, forecasting, performance management, and executive or board reporting.

How often do we meet?

An ongoing engagement can use a monthly or quarterly rhythm. A defined engagement can focus on one decision. The cadence is agreed in your scope.

Can you work with my existing bookkeeper?

Yes. Financial Advisory is built to work alongside Financial Management or an existing internal bookkeeping team.

When is a business ready for this?

When reliable books are no longer enough to answer the decisions in front of you: cash flow, margins, investment, growth, debt or leadership reporting. The first conversation helps identify the right engagement.

What do you actually deliver?

A defined engagement can deliver analysis and a recommendation for one decision. An ongoing engagement provides a rhythm of reporting, review and planning. Fractional CFO adds senior financial leadership.
